| | Eastern National of Chelmsford, as part of the Tilling group, was one of the original operators of this type of vehicle. Their RELHs were used for two different purposes; scheduled express services to London and private hire activities.
The private-hire coach activities are very inter-related with the Tillings Transport company. Various coaches were swapped between the companies, and they were available for short term loans at any time. The private-hire work was subsequently transferred to National Travel South East.
Express work consisted of various short-distance routes to London (for examples see here), these vehicles were subsequently downgraded to buses.
