National Express was the name that the National Bus company introduced, in the early 1970s, to market all of the express coach operations that it's subsidiaries operated. Some of these services had already been jointly marketed, such as those covered by Associated Motorways.
Along with a national coach timetable a new, white, livery was introduced. Most of the RELH coaches had been repainted into NBC Express livery by 1974, for details of the operations of the National Express network at this time see here.

For details of todays National Express network, see their website. The National Express name, and double N symbol, are trademarks of National Express.
